What has been written of our Blessed Mother Mary fills libraries. She has a huge number of titles, patronages, solemnities, feasts, and prayers venerating her. I could not begin to say enough about the Mother of God and Queen of Heaven. I chose to highlight the 1st of January as one of the many solemnities and feasts. The Solemnity of Mary, Mother of God being the first celebration of our calendar year and a holy day of obligation to all Catholics seemed to be appropriate.
Keeping this entry on an important relic that's part of Fr. Dunne's collection I'll highlight and reference a few resources to consider. I certainly cannot list all of the Blessed Mary's titles it's always surprising and inspirational reviewing them periodically. Just as inspiring is reviewing the list of patronages of the Blessed Virgin Mary. I'll finish with a list of feasts and solemnities we celebrate in the Catholic church.absolute
